And here I thought I was the only one who used this method. I always did it by putting the game in the NES and then putting my index finger where the tab was cut out and moving it around until it worked.

Just disable the 10 NES chip and I can promise that 95% of the time that is the main problem.

that is when there is pin issues. which can be fixed by actstually resetting the pins but inorder to reset the pins you must open your nes and take a flathead screwdriver and snap them back to their orignal possition becuase over time they snap out of place.
